Privacy policy.

Between Us is a trading name of Cristina Gorincioi, the sole trader who operates this site and acts as the data controller for the personal data described below. For any question about your data, write to hello@betweenus.guide.

• Newsletter & marketing signups. Your first name, email address, the consent text you agreed to, a timestamp, the page you signed up from, and your browser language. Used to send you the Between Us letter and other occasional marketing emails from Between Us (new guides, launches, offers).
• Waitlist / notify-me. Your email address and the specific guide you asked to be notified about. Used only to tell you when that guide is available — it is not a subscription to our newsletter or other marketing.
• Emails you send us. The content of any message you send to our contact addresses.
• Basic technical data. Standard server and analytics logs (IP address, browser, referring page) used to keep the site secure and understand traffic in aggregate.

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — to send you the Between Us letter and other occasional marketing emails, and (separately) to notify you when a specific guide you asked about is ready. Each is opted into on its own and can be withdrawn at any time.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and understand how it is used.
• Contract / pre-contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to reply to your enquiries and deliver guides you purchase.

Your data is held on secure, access-controlled systems provided by established third-party platforms, protected by encryption in transit and standard industry safeguards. Access is limited to the people at Between Us who need it to run the letter and reply to you. We only keep what we need, for as long as we need it, and we do not sell your data — ever.

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party service providers to run the site, store signups, and send the letter. They process data on our behalf under their own security and data-protection terms.

When you buy a guide, payment is processed by our reseller Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the Merchant of Record for the sale. Paddle collects and processes the personal and payment data required to take payment, calculate and remit sales tax, prevent fraud, issue invoices, and handle refund or billing enquiries, as an independent data controller under its own privacy notice. We receive from Paddle only the information we need to fulfil your order (such as your name, email, country, and order reference) and to keep our own tax and accounting records.

We may also share data with professional advisers (legal, accounting) and with authorities where required by law. We do not share your data with anyone else for marketing purposes.

Newsletter data is kept for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal suppression record so we do not accidentally email you again. Contact emails are kept for as long as needed to answer you and for a reasonable follow-up period.

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email, or by writing to hello@betweenus.guide. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use only the cookies strictly necessary to run the site and basic, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above.
